Fans are fluid flow machines used to move gases. They are mainly used for ventilation, cooling components, drying materials and supplying air to technical combustion systems. The central component is an impeller that rotates in a housing. The impeller blades, the housing and numerous other components are often made of stainless steel. This has the advantage that they can withstand the sometimes polluted and often humid air over the long term. Stainless steel blanks are ideal as the starting material for manufacturing the components.
