Oil and Gas

Oil and gas are processed and supplied in refineries, which have large tank farms. Refineries are facilities where raw materials are separated and refined through distillation. High pressures and temperatures often prevail there. The materials used require a correspondingly high heat resistance. They must also withstand corrosive attack from chemical substances. Rust- and chemical-resistant, heat-resistant stainless steels offer these properties. The storage of raw materials and finished products is subject to high environmental protection requirements. The containers are located in the open air and are exposed to changing weather conditions. The use of stainless steels as a material ensures that the storage tanks remain permanently leak-proof.
